Full mouth rehabilitation
Severe damage to your teeth and mouth can be overwhelming. It can seem like you will never get your oral health back on track and that a beautiful smile is unobtainable. Yet, with a full-mouth rehabilitation treatment, we can go through your mouth tooth by tooth in order to find the best treatment plan for you. At Doylestown Dental Group, we speak with both you and a specialist to create a customized treatment plan that will fit your needs.
Depending on the condition of your teeth, we can do anything, from composite bonding to a crown in order to make your teeth stronger and more functional. Composite bonding will fill in minor gaps, cracks, and chips while more extensive damage may require a porcelain veneer to be attached to the front of the tooth to hide severe discoloration and damage. If the structural integrity of the tooth is damaged, a crown will be placed over it to protect it from bacteria and decay.
Implants and bridges can be used to replace missing teeth. Bridges use three attached crowns to fill in the gap caused by the missing tooth. Surrounding teeth are filed down and the two outer crowns are attached to them for stability. Implants are placed directly into the bone where the root used to be to help reduce bone loss. The crown is attached to the implant for stability and without the need to damage other teeth.
Veneers and crowns are all customized to fit your mouth perfectly and are made into a shade to match your teeth so you won’t be able to tell there was any work done. Composite bonding resin is also tooth-colored, meaning that any fillings and repairs will match your teeth. With proper oral care, bonding, veneers, and crowns can last fifteen to twenty years before they need to be replaced.
