How can we help you?
While our professional team is skilled at replacing missing teeth and restoring damaged teeth, it is far better to take steps to prevent the need for these types of services.
Patient education is an essential part of helping you maintain proper oral health with brushing, flossing, and preventative treatments with the Doylestown Dental Group. We strongly encourage you to ask questions about any aspect of dental care, and no question is too small. You are always welcome to contact our office for information, but we've provided a few examples of the questions we hear most often.
Please don't hesitate to call us if you don't see the answer to your question listed here.
Full & Partial Dentures
We know that living without your dentures even for a short time can be inconvenient and frustrating. Depending on the type of damage, we may be able to make the repair in our office.
If the damage is more severe, we may choose to send the denture to a professional dental lab where it will be repaired by skilled technicians. In either case, we will arrange to return your denture to you as soon as possible.
What sort of preventative care do you recommend?
There are some steps that you can follow to reduce the chances of breaking your dentures:
- Avoid biting down on hard snacks like nuts that can cause an artificial tooth to break.
- Make sure that your hands are dry when handling your dentures to avoid dropping them on a hard surface. Placing a towel on your bathroom counter will give the dentures a soft place to land if you do drop them.
- Your dentures should always remain moist when not in your mouth. Make sure you place them in a container of denture cleaner in a safe location.
